Basic specifications of all versions of the library are given below. These, especially Astrod2, are evolving, so what is provided is an overview of the kinds of capabilities the libraries have and will have, rather than a detailed programmer’s reference at this stage.
Both libraries have been developed in Python, and are built on the capabilities of of the astronomical library PyEphem and the astrological library Pyswisseph.
The ephemerides page (the plural of ephemeris) contains a detailed discussion of the ephemerides used by these Python libaries.
The Astrod libraries are a work in progress and not currently distributed. If you would like to use it, please contact me with some information about what you would like to do, and your affiliation as applicable.
